PASTOR'S CORNER

My wife was talking to her sister the other day on the phone.  Her sister tells her that she was outside checking on the back of her home for a noise she was hearing at night.  She was walking back to the front to go in the house, when she tripped over a mole hole and landed face first onto the frozen ground.  She has a hard time pulling herself up because of her bad knees and weak arm. She needed help but there was no one to help.  She is thinking to herself how I am going to get up.  She crawls to a nearby pine tree but the branches are too high.  She cries out to God - I need your help!  The next thing she is standing up on her two feet. She doesn't remember how she got up.  She went into the house and she was only a little sore.

There is where your faith and trust in God needs to come out of the inner man in time of trouble.  No long prayer was needed just a short and simple - God I need your help.  She couldn't have gotten up by herself.

God answered her cry for help!

I can face whatever the world puts in front of me and get through it with Christ in me and with His strength not mine.  I incourage you to read all of Philippians 4.
